POETRY CAFE 2008
Two
nights, two very different venues for the annual
Poetry Cafe this year. For the second year,
C-dub seniors organized the events.
On Friday night, January 11, "Cafe Oklahoma" was
held on the SOTA Main Stage. The set simulated
a cafe, and lighting by SOTA Tech's Nik Robalino was
fantastic as usual. Aidan Gardiner, 2007grad,
returned to emcee the event.
The next night, January 12, The Greenhouse -- a cafe
in the nearby West Portal neighborhood -- hosted
"Feast of Fabulous Wild Men Day."
Below are links to photo montages of each night.
Thanks to C-dub parent Eric Wolfe for taking
photographs used in the Cafe Oklahoma montage.

GHOSTWRITERS
On
October 12, 2007, SOTA's Main Stage was the site of
CW's first
performance of the 2007 - 08 school year.
Ghostwriters showcased
individual and group work arising from the "Writing
Through the Arts"
unit with guest artists Victor Cartagena, Howard
Wiley, Marisela
Orta, Kirk Read, and Erika Shuch. Below, some
photos from the show.

C-DUB READING VOLUNTEERS
As
reported in a March 26, 2007 website News item, CW
has received a glowing letter about its volunteers
in a Hoover Middle School reading class. On
these photo pages you can read excerpts from the
letter, see the volunteers at work, and glimpse some
appreciative Valentines/poems from the Hoover
students. Thanks to Heather Woodward for
visiting the class and grabbing these photos.
